Simi Garewal is the beautiful Indian actress, famously known for anchoring the talk show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal aired on Star Plus.

Simi Garewal was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, India on 17th October 1947, to a Jat-Sikh family. Her father was a brigadier in the army and Simi was brought up in England. She came back to India when she was a teenager to become an actress. She joined the Filmalaya Acting School. Simi's married life did not last long and ended up in a divorce.

In 1983, Simi Garewal directed, produced, and hosted a TV show It's a Woman's World (1983) aired on Doordarshan. For the past ten years she is anchoring the talk show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal and has won numerous awards for this talk show. These awards include Screen Award for Best Talk Show & Best Anchor, the RAPA (2001) Award for Best Anchor & Talk show, Indian Television Academy Award (2003) for Best Anchor, the Rotary Award (2003) for Vocational Excellence in Media & Television, and also the Indian Filmgoers Association Award (2004) for Best Talk Show.
She is also known as the "The Lady in White" as she is always seen in white clothes at award ceremonies and on TV shows. Simi recently judged and hosted a dance show Say Shava Shava. Simi also worked on the show, Virassat, on Star One.

In 1962, Simi Garewal appeared opposite actor Feroz Khan in an English language film Tarzan Goes to India. She has worked wih some of the leading directors of Bollywood like Raj Khosla, Raj Kapoor, Satyajit Ray, and Mrinal Sen for movies like Do Badan, Mera Naam Joker (1970), and Aranyer Din Ratri Padatik.
She was paired with her favourite actor Raj Kapoor in Mera Naam Joker (1970). This blockbuster movie was divided into three chapters, and Simi played the role of a beautiful and smart school teacher.
Simi landed up in many controversies for shooting nude scenes in Columbia Pictures' Siddhartha. This movie was based on the Herman Hesse's novel. In the memorable movie Kabhi Kabhie (1976), she had a special appearance and played the lead role in Chalte Chalte (1976) directed by Yash Chopra, her brother-in-law.
After 1976 she made her comeback in an unforgettable role as a vamp in Karz (1980). The actress made her directorial debut with Rukhsat (1988) for which she wrote the screenplay.
